Vacancies: Total = 167
1. English Language Computer Operator = 114
2. Assamese Language Computer Operator = 53

i. ST(P) = 19
ii. ST(H) = 09
iii. SC    = 08
iv. OBC/MOBC = 32
v. Unreserved = 91
vi. PwD   = 08
vii. Reservation for women = 30% in all categories
viii. Reservation for Ex-Service Men = 2% in all categories

Educational Qualifications:
i. Minimum Graduate in Arts, Science or Commerce Stream from a Recognised University by the state or a degree equvalent thereto and recognized by the Government.
ii. Candidates must possess monimum 6 (six) months Diploma/Certificate in Computer Proficiency from a recognised institute.

Age:18-43 Years

Application Fees:

i. General : Rs. 250/-
ii. SC/ST/OBC : Rs. 150/-
iii. Candidates having BPL certificate : NIL

The amount may be paid through Treasury Challan to the Head of Account " 0070- Other Administrative Services-60-Other Services -800-Other Receipts"

Mode of Selection:

Phase-I: Candidates whose applications are accepted will be required to appear in a competitive exam to be held at examination zones mentioned below on the date to be notified later on. The examination will be of 100 marks with Multiple Choice Questions( MCQ) for 2 hours duration to be administered through OMR Sheets.

Examination Zones for Phase -I:
Silchar, Diphu, Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Majuli, Nagaon, Lakhimpur, Tezpur, Mangaldai, Guwahati, Nalbari, Bongaigaon, Kokrajhar and Dhubri.

Syllabus of objective type written test:
1. Genral English = 40 marks
2. Computer Theory = 40 marks
3. General Awareness = 20 marks
Phase -II: Against each vacancy four candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained in the written test.The shortlisted candidates shall have to appear in the Computer Proficiency Practical Test to be held in Guwahati alongwith original testiminials including copy of Treasury Challan. The total marks for the Computer Proficiency Practical Test will be 100 marks.
